ChatGPT Work for marketing teams: Webinar Resource Guide
Follow along with our webinar: Get started with ChatGPT Work for Marketing
Marketing teams routinely have to combine channel performance, customer feedback, sales signals, approved strategy, brand guardrails, and product assets before they can decide what to test, fund, or produce next.
This webinar shows how Chat and Work complement each other. You’ll see Chat answer a focused campaign question quickly. Then you’ll see Work combine five approved sources into an editable weekly campaign learning brief and schedule the workflow to run again. In the second demo, Work turns an approved launch direction, product facts, channel requirements, and real product assets into an editable campaign concept board, then saves the review method as a reusable skill.
Note: The webinar uses the Data Analytics and Product Design plugins, Google Drive, Google Sheets, Google Slides, and fictional Auralis Beam data, templates, and product assets. Availability depends on your plan and workspace settings. You can adapt the same workflows to approved Microsoft 365 tools or other connected systems. Replace the demo materials with sources and templates your organization approves, and review every output before using, publishing, or sharing it.
What you’ll need
- Access to ChatGPT Work.
- The Data Analytics plugin for the weekly campaign-learning workflow.
- The Product Design plugin for the campaign concept-board workflow.
- An approved connected source and file-creation suite. The webinar uses Google Drive, Google Sheets, and Google Slides. You can adapt the workflows to SharePoint, Excel, and PowerPoint if those are your organization’s approved tools.
- Five approved inputs for the weekly campaign review: a measurement plan, campaign performance workbook, customer feedback file, sales signal digest, and prior weekly learning brief.
- An approved launch package for concept development: a campaign recommendation, product and launch brief, brand and claims guide, channel requirements, review rubric, editable concept-board template, and current product assets.
- A Project if you want Chat and Work to use the same launch files and context throughout concept development.

Learn: When to use Chat and when to use Work
Key ideas
- Use Chat when you need a quick answer, want to talk through an idea, or need help with one focused piece of work.
- Use Work when ChatGPT needs to gather context, manage several steps, and create a polished file for you to review.
- Choose based on the job and the result you need, not simply the length or format of the source file.
- Work can stay with a bigger assignment, create structured files you can keep editing, and preserve a successful workflow through a schedule or skill.
- Work may take longer because it is doing more. You can follow along, steer it while it works, or return when the result is ready.
- Marketing still owns the decision. Check the evidence, calculations, claims, risks, and recommendations before changing spend, choosing a direction, or publishing anything.
Learn: Find and use the plugins
The Data Analytics plugin can work across spreadsheets, documents, uploaded files, and connected sources. Its skills help check data quality, compare performance, and turn findings into a consistent report. In the first demo, it helps Work build a weekly campaign learning brief without treating qualitative signals as quantified proof.
The Product Design plugin helps turn approved product and campaign inputs into structured visual work. In the second demo, it helps Work build three distinct directions inside an editable concept-board template while preserving product accuracy, claims rules, and human approval gates.
Follow along
- Open Plugins from the left sidebar.
- Search for Data Analytics and open the plugin. Install it if it is available in your workspace.
- Review its skills for checking data quality, comparing performance, and creating reports.
- Search for Product Design and install it if it is available in your workspace.
- Connect the source and destination tools your workflow needs. The webinar uses Google Drive, Google Sheets, and Google Slides.
- Return to the conversation, switch to Work, type
@Data Analyticsor@Product Design, and select the plugin you need.
Demo 1: Get a quick campaign-performance answer in Chat
Chat is useful when you need one focused answer from one source. That answer can point you in the right direction, but it is different from a full campaign review that reconciles performance, measurement rules, customer feedback, and sales context.
Follow along
Start a new Chat and attach
Auralis_Beam_Weekly_Campaign_Performance.xlsx , then use this prompt:In the webinar data, Chat gives a quick answer and catches that two days of conversion data are missing. That makes the result useful for orientation, but not final. One workbook cannot establish what the team should do next or explain why the performance occurred.
Demo 1: Create and schedule a weekly campaign learning brief in Work
The full weekly review needs five approved sources: the campaign performance workbook, measurement plan, customer feedback, sales signal digest, and prior weekly brief. Work can apply the measurement rules, keep evidence separate from hypotheses, create an editable brief, and prepare a concise digest for Marketing to review.
Follow along
Start a new Work task, invoke
@Data Analytics , and make the five approved Auralis Beam source files available. If you are adapting the workflow, replace the demo files, dates, territory names, and output title with current, approved materials from your organization.@Data Analytics Use only the five Auralis Beam source files provided for this task.
Create an editable weekly campaign learning brief for the six-week test ending August 23, 2026. Use the measurement plan’s KPI definitions, targets, attribution window, data cutoff, minimum-signal rules, and decision rules exactly.
Your brief should:
1. Lead with the clearest decision the evidence supports. Compare Camera-ready desk, Compact apartment, and Warm evening work mode across CPA, conversion rate, click-through rate, and ROAS.
2. Use customer feedback and sales notes as supporting signals, not as quantified proof. Separate measured findings, qualitative signals, hypotheses, open questions, and next tests. Cite the source for every material claim.
3. Flag incomplete or stale data before making a recommendation. Paid Social conversion and revenue data for the final two days is intentionally unavailable. Explain how that limits the read.
4. Draft a short digest for the #marketing Slack channel for my review.
5. Save the output as “Auralis Beam - Weekly Campaign Learning Brief - 2026-08-24.”
Do not invent missing values, fill gaps, infer causality, or present a directional signal as a verified explanation.
Link every material figure and conclusion to the source file and relevant sheet, table, or section. The prompt defines the approved sources, measurement rules, required brief structure, missing-data caveat, destination, and limits on what Work may infer or change. It also keeps the Slack digest as a draft: Work does not publish it or change the campaign budget.
In the webinar, the finished brief leads with a decision, compares the three territories, keeps the missing-data limitation beside the recommendation, and separates measured results from customer and sales signals. It remains editable, and the material figures and conclusions link back to their sources.
Verify a material calculation
Before accepting the recommendation, ask Work to trace one important number to the underlying workbook:
Show your work for the $44.74 CPA for Camera-ready desk using complete data. Link to the source file, identify the exact rows and columns used, and confirm how the partial Paid Social dates were handled.A sound response should show the calculation, identify the exact source range, and confirm that the incomplete dates were excluded. This verifies the measured result without turning a qualitative explanation into a proven cause.
Schedule the workflow
After you approve the instructions, brief structure, source links, and draft digest, the short live-demo prompt is:
Schedule this workflow to run every Monday at 7:30 a.m.For a recurring workflow with explicit data windows and stop conditions, use the fuller version below and adapt the folder, time zone, and review rules to your environment:
Every Monday at 7:30 a.m. [time zone], run the Auralis Beam weekly campaign learning workflow using the latest approved files in the campaign learning folder.
Apply the latest approved measurement plan’s KPI definitions, targets, attribution window, data cutoff, minimum-signal rules, and decision rules exactly.
Before producing the brief, verify that all required files are present and that spend, traffic, conversion, and revenue data share a clear cutoff. If a required source is missing, a definition has changed without approval, or the data is incomplete or stale under the approved measurement-plan rules, stop and create an exception note instead of a final recommendation.
Produce a dated editable learning brief and a Slack-ready digest. Separate measured findings, qualitative signals, hypotheses, open questions, and proposed next tests. Cite every source and do not send or publish anything without human review.Open Scheduled from the sidebar and select the campaign-learning task. Confirm when it will run next. From there, you can change the instructions or timing, or delete the task when you no longer need it. Review the first few runs to make sure the required connections and approved files are still available.
What to review
- Does the brief use only the five approved source files?
- Does it apply the measurement plan’s KPI definitions, targets, attribution window, data cutoff, minimum-signal rules, and decision rules exactly?
- Does the recommendation compare all three territories across CPA, conversion rate, click-through rate, and ROAS?
- Are measured findings, qualitative signals, hypotheses, open questions, and next tests clearly separated?
- Is the two-day Paid Social conversion and revenue gap visible beside the recommendation?
- Does every material figure and conclusion link to the relevant source file and location?
- Can a reviewer reproduce the $44.74 CPA from the cited rows and columns?
- Does the brief avoid filling missing values, inferring causality, or presenting a directional signal as proof?
- Is the digest concise, accurate, and still a draft for Marketing to review?
- Did Work leave the source files, campaign budget, and publishing channels unchanged?
- Is the output an editable file with the requested title?
- Does the scheduled task use the approved data window, stop when a required source or definition is missing, and preserve human review before anything is sent?
Demo 2: Confirm the approved campaign direction in Chat
For concept development, begin by putting the approved launch inputs, product assets, and editable template in one Project. Chat can then answer a focused strategy question before the larger creative assignment begins.
Follow along
Create a Project called Auralis Beam Campaign and add:
-
Auralis_Beam_Approved_Campaign_Recommendation.docx
-
Auralis_Beam_Product_and_Launch_Brief.docx
-
Auralis_Beam_Brand_and_Claims_Guide.docx
-
Auralis_Beam_Channel_Requirements.xlsx
-
Auralis_Beam_Concept_Review_Rubric.docx
-
Auralis_Beam_Campaign_Concept_Board_Template.pptx
- The approved product cutout, lifestyle references, and wordmark assets
Start a new Chat inside the Project, then use:
Based on these files, which territory should lead the Auralis Beam launch, and which strategic decision is still open?Chat returns the approved direction and the remaining open decision. That is useful, but it does not develop the ideas, check every claim, adapt the campaign across channels, or build the concept board.
Demo 2: Build an editable campaign concept board in Work
The approved strategy is the starting point, not a blank canvas. Work needs to develop three meaningfully different creative routes while following the product facts, claims rules, channel requirements, supplied template, review rubric, and real product assets.
Follow along
Start a new Work task with the Project context available, invoke
@Product Design , and use this prompt. If you are adapting the workflow, replace the Auralis Beam package with approved, current launch inputs from your organization.@Product Design Use the supplied Auralis Beam launch brief, approved campaign recommendation, brand and claims guide, channel requirements, concept-board template, review rubric, and product assets.
Create three genuinely distinct campaign directions in a new editable copy of the concept-board template.
1. Anchor each direction in an audience truth and cite its source.2. Define a one-sentence core idea with a distinct visual language, composition, and tone.3. Create a hero execution using the supplied product without changing its design or features.4. Add sample copy and adaptations for paid social, paid search, creator partnerships, lifecycle email, and the launch landing page.5. State the strongest tradeoff, risk, and open question for each direction.
Use only approved product claims. Score each direction with the supplied rubric, treating product accuracy and claims safety as pass-or-fail gates. Recommend one direction for the next round, explain the evidence and uncertainty behind it, and identify what a human reviewer must approve before production. The prompt defines the approved inputs, required output, creative differences, channel adaptations, rubric, and approval gates. Work decides how to develop and lay out the directions, but it may not invent product features, alter the product, bypass claims rules, or turn the draft recommendation into a production approval.
In the webinar, Work creates a new editable copy of the supplied concept-board template. The strategy appears before the creative work, each direction connects the audience insight to a distinct idea and channel expression, and the final scorecard keeps the recommendation framed as a draft for review.
Verify a product claim
Choose a material claim and trace it back to the approved files:
Show your work for the statement that Auralis Beam fits flat monitor backs 10–40 millimeters thick. Link to the source, identify the exact section, and tell me whether the approved files support saying it fits every monitor. The response should point to the exact source section and stop where the approved evidence stops. Work can surface the evidence; Product Marketing and Legal still decide whether the claim may be used.
What to review
- Is the result a new, editable copy of the concept-board template rather than an overwritten source file?
- Does the board present the approved strategy before the creative directions?
- Are the three directions genuinely different in audience truth, core idea, visual language, composition, and tone?
- Does each audience truth cite its approved source?
- Does every hero execution use the supplied product without changing its design or features?
- Does each direction include useful adaptations for paid social, paid search, creator partnerships, lifecycle email, and the launch landing page?
- Does each direction state its strongest tradeoff, risk, and open question?
- Are all product statements limited to approved claims?
- Does the rubric treat product accuracy and claims safety as pass-or-fail gates?
- Does the recommendation explain the evidence and uncertainty rather than presenting the choice as final?
- Can a reviewer trace the 10–40 millimeter compatibility claim to the exact source section?
- Does the board avoid implying that Auralis Beam fits every monitor?
- Are Product Marketing and Legal approvals still required before production?
- Can reviewers edit the copy and layout or leave comments directly in the deck?
Demo 2: Turn the campaign-concept workflow into a reusable skill
The product, campaign, and creative direction will change. The input checklist, claims review, board structure, channel adaptations, evaluation gates, and approval rules can remain consistent. Save the method only after the team has tested and approved it.
The short live-demo prompt is:
Save this workflow as a skill called campaign-concept-development.For a skill that clearly separates the reusable method from the current campaign, use the fuller version:
Turn the campaign concept workflow we just used into a reusable skill called campaign-concept-development.
The skill should retain:
- The required-input checklist- The source review and claims-check procedure- The three-direction concept-board structure- The channel-adaptation requirements- The process for applying a current approved review rubric, including product-accuracy and claims-safety gates- Source-citation, uncertainty, and human-approval rules
The skill should not retain:
- Auralis Beam customer insights or campaign results- The current launch recommendation- Any selected concept, sample copy, score, or decision- Auralis Beam product imagery or brand-specific claims- Any Auralis Beam-specific rubric wording, weights, scores, or campaign criteria
Each run must ask for a current product and launch brief, an approved customer or campaign insight, current brand and claims guidance, channel requirements, a current approved review rubric, assets, an editable output template, and the intended reviewers. If any required source is missing or contradictory, the skill should stop and request clarification rather than inventing content.Find and share the skill
- Open Plugins, select Skills, and open
campaign-concept-development.
- Confirm that it retains the required-input checklist, source and claims review, board structure, channel adaptations, the process for applying a current rubric, and approval rules.
- Confirm that it does not retain Auralis Beam insights, results, recommendations, selected concepts, copy, scores, rubric criteria, product imagery, or claims.
- Confirm that it asks for current inputs, a current approved review rubric, and intended reviewers on every run.
- Confirm that it stops when a required source is missing or contradictory.
- Edit the instructions or replace the template when your team’s process changes.
- Share the skill with your workspace when it is ready for other marketers to use.
A reusable skill should preserve the team’s method, not a prior campaign’s conclusion or creative. Marketing still reviews the strategy, claims, product depiction, and final direction every time.
Learn: Chat or Work?
- I need to summarize the strongest customer objection in one interview transcript → Chat. One focused question about one source.
- I need to combine six weeks of campaign results, customer feedback, and sales notes into a weekly learning brief, then schedule it → Work. Several sources, multiple steps, an editable brief, and a recurring run.
- I need to turn approved launch inputs into three distinct, editable campaign directions and score them against a review rubric → Work. Multiple approved inputs, explicit constraints, and a structured concept board for review.
- I need to rewrite one email subject line so it sounds clearer and less promotional → Chat. One short piece of wording that benefits from quick back-and-forth.
Learn: Where Codex fits
Codex is useful when the work itself is technical, such as building or debugging a marketing site, changing tracking code, working in a repository, or testing an internal tool.
Work is a better fit when the assignment spans campaign sources and needs to end in a finished business file, such as a campaign readout, concept board, or launch brief.
The simplest way to choose is to look at what you need back. If you need working code or a change to a technical project, start in Codex. If you need ChatGPT to gather Marketing context, manage a larger assignment, and create a document, workbook, or presentation, start in Work.
Try it: Find your first Work task
You do not need to design the perfect workflow before you begin. This prompt works best in a Project that already contains relevant Marketing files, so Work can ground its suggestions in real context:
Based on my recent work, suggest three Marketing tasks I could hand off to ChatGPT Work. Tell me what you would create for each one and where I should start. Don’t begin until I choose. The final sentence keeps Work in recommendation mode until you choose the task worth pursuing.
Learn: Use Work across surfaces
The webinar uses chatgpt.com . You can also use ChatGPT on the desktop app for Mac or Windows and on the mobile app for iOS or Android. Your cloud work stays in sync, so you can begin a task in the browser and check it later from another device.
Before you use the output
- Use only approved, current campaign data, customer feedback, sales signals, strategy documents, templates, and product assets.
- Confirm KPI definitions, targets, attribution windows, reporting dates, data cutoffs, minimum-signal rules, freshness, and coverage.
- Trace material figures, calculations, insights, and product claims back to the cited source locations.
- Keep measured findings, qualitative signals, hypotheses, recommendations, open questions, and next tests separate.
- Do not fill missing values or infer a cause from directional or incomplete evidence.
- Use customer and sales feedback as supporting signals unless you have an approved method for quantifying it.
- Check that product depictions, features, compatibility statements, and performance claims stay within the approved files.
- Confirm that channel adaptations follow the current channel requirements and brand rules.
- Treat automated scoring and recommendations as inputs to review, not final creative, budget, claims, or production approvals.
- Have the appropriate Marketing, Product Marketing, Legal, brand, and channel owners review the output before it is published or produced.
- Keep source files and systems of record unchanged unless a person explicitly approves an update.
- Check that scheduled tasks still have access to the required connections and approved files, and review the first few runs.
- Make sure reusable skills preserve the method without retaining campaign-specific evidence, decisions, copy, or assets.
- Follow your organization’s AI, privacy, security, brand, legal, and records-management policies.
What to try next
Choose one Marketing task already on your plate. Give Work the approved sources, the finished artifact you need, and the boundaries it must respect. Review what it creates and refine the instructions. If the preparation repeats, schedule it. If the method should stay consistent across the team, save and share it as a skill.
Thanks for joining!
