ChatGPT Edu: Leading District-Wide Adoption
Join the OpenAI Education team for a practical discussion about introducing and sustaining ChatGPT Edu across a K–12 district. Designed for district and school leaders, this session focuses on the coordination, communication, and support structures that help AI adoption move beyond initial access and become useful in educators’ and staff members’ everyday work.
We’ll explore how district leadership can bring together technical teams, instructional leaders, professional learning staff, communications teams, and school administrators around a shared implementation plan. The session will also address how to establish clear expectations, identify practical early use cases, support responsible adoption, and create opportunities for ongoing learning as participation expands.
In this session, you’ll learn how to:
• Clarify responsibilities across IT, instructional leadership, communications, professional learning, and school teams.
• Establish practical expectations for privacy, human review, approved information, and responsible AI use.
• Communicate the rollout clearly and connect different audiences with the right training and support.
• Identify high-value applications across teaching, school operations, and district departments.
• Support local champions, role-specific learning, and ongoing engagement after launch.
• Recognize common implementation challenges and adjust based on staff feedback and district needs.
This session is intended for superintendents, district administrators, technology and innovation leaders, curriculum and instruction leaders, professional learning teams, principals, and other staff responsible for district-wide implementation.
No technical background is required. Familiarity with your district’s rollout plans and existing responsible-use guidance will be helpful.
The session will be recorded and made available to anyone who cannot attend live.
