Strategize and build bespoke presentations with ChatGPT Work

August 13, 2026
Plan, prepare, and lead presentations
Use approved source material to plan a meeting and draft a tailored presentation. ChatGPT can challenge your assumptions, organize the meeting strategy, and build from an approved template. You decide what is accurate and what can be shared.

Before you start

  • Gather the approved sources you need, such as an account brief, meeting notes, research, call summaries, or local files.
  • Confirm that you can use the material. Remove credentials, restricted links, private messages, and personal data you do not need.
  • Define the audience, meeting goal, decisions you need, assumptions you want to test, and what a useful outcome would look like.
  • Choose an approved presentation template and any writing or brand guidance.
  • Decide who must review the final material before it is shared.

Workflow

  1. In Chat, provide the approved sources and ask ChatGPT to challenge your assumptions.
  1. Review the evidence, gaps, risks, and questions. Add your judgment.
  1. Continue the same conversation in ChatGPT Work so it keeps the context.
  1. Create or update a meeting strategy with the objective, audience, decisions, flow, demo, measures, and open questions.
  1. Build a draft presentation from an approved template.
  1. Check every claim, source, metric, image, link, note, and slide.
  1. Share or publish only after the right person approves the final version.

Check your assumptions with ChatGPT

I’m preparing for [MEETING OR SESSION] with [ORGANIZATION].

The audience is:
[ROLE]
[ROLE]
[ROLE]

The goal is:[GOAL]

Use [APPROVED BRIEF OR SOURCE] in [APPROVED SOURCE SYSTEM] as context.

My working assumptions are:

1. [ASSUMPTION]
2. [ASSUMPTION]
3. [ASSUMPTION]

Pressure-test each assumption using the approved brief or source. For each assumption:

Rate its strength.

Cite the supporting evidence and source.

Flag gaps, contradictions, or risks.

Give me one question to validate it.

Rewrite it if the evidence supports a better version.

Then recommend:

One clear session objective.

The most useful demo focus or use case.

One measurable KPI.

The stakeholder concerns I should address.

The decisions I should seek.

Any information I still need before creating customer-facing material.

Do not invent facts. Separate facts, assumptions, and inferences. If a source is missing or permission is unclear, stop and ask me.

Create the meeting strategy with ChatGPT Work

Continue this conversation in ChatGPT Work.
Using the approved sources and assumption review, create or update [APPROVED WORKING DOCUMENT]. Add a section or tab called [MEETING STRATEGY].

Include:

1. Meeting objective.

2. Audience and stakeholder concerns.

3. Source-backed evidence and working hypotheses.

4. Decisions to seek.

5. Proposed meeting flow.

6. Demo or use-case storyline.

7. Measures of success.

8. Open questions and risks.

9. Points that need human review.

Keep this as a draft. Do not share, send, publish, or replace source material without my approval. Link factual claims to their sources when possible.

Build the presentation draft with ChatGPT Work

Using [APPROVED PRESENTATION TEMPLATE] and the approved meeting strategy, create a concise [NUMBER]-slide presentation.

Suggested structure:

1. Title and meeting objective.

2. What we heard.

3. Priority workflow or demo.

4. What a controlled pilot could achieve.

5. Next steps and decisions.

Requirements:

Use only approved, source-backed information.

Separate facts from hypotheses.

Follow the template’s existing brand and layout rules.

Cite each metric and customer-specific claim.

Add speaker notes only if [APPROVED VOICE GUIDANCE] is available.

Keep the deck as a draft.

End with a checklist of claims, sources, permissions, design choices, and narrative choices that need human review.

Learn from the human edits with Skills

Compare the approved final presentation with the generated draft.

Create a change log that groups the edits by:

Story and sequence.

Factual corrections.

Customer or audience context.

Wording and tone.

Visual hierarchy and brand.

Missing context or evidence.

Content removed for safety, privacy, or relevance.

For each pattern, explain what changed, why it changed, and what reusable instruction would improve the next presentation.

Do not change an existing skill, template, or preference file. Draft any proposed updates for human review.

Final review checklist

  • Every customer-specific claim is current and supported by a source.
  • Facts, hypotheses, recommendations, and open questions are clearly labeled.
  • The audience, objective, and decisions match the meeting.
  • No confidential names, personal data, credentials, private messages, or restricted links are exposed.
  • The deck follows the approved template.
  • Images and charts are accurate and do not imply unsupported results.
  • Speaker notes sound like the presenter and do not overstate what the product or team can do.
  • The owner has reviewed and approved the final version.

Troubleshooting

The first draft takes too long

  • Start with a short meeting outline or five-slide deck.
  • Use only the sources that directly inform the meeting.
  • Review the strategy before asking ChatGPT to build the deck.

The draft lacks context

  • State the audience, decisions, assumptions, success measures, and open questions.
  • Name the source of truth.
  • Ask ChatGPT to identify missing evidence before writing slide copy.

The structure feels generic

  • Define the purpose of each slide or section.
  • Name the concerns of each stakeholder.
  • Ask for a clear decision or action in each section.

The formatting is inconsistent

  • Start with an approved template.
  • State which layouts and brand rules to preserve.
  • Keep content edits separate from template changes.
