Yvette Renteria leads the education, research, family and community engagement teams at Common Sense Media that help our kids thrive in a digital world.

Yvette brings 25 years of experience working in schools and non-profit organizations. Within her years in education, she served as Deputy Chief of Innovation on the district level, school principal and elementary school teacher. Yvette has also worked in nonprofits as a Program Director for a workforce development organization and Chief Strategy Officer for an early childhood development organization. The focus of her career has always been about access, opportunity and growth for people.

Yvette holds a Masters of Education from Loyola Marymount University and Bachelors of Development Studies from UC Berkeley. In her free time, she enjoys exploring life through the eyes of her 9-year old twins.

Paul Minney has dedicated over three decades to serving the educational community as a leading attorney specializing in school law. Since beginning his practice in 1992, he has represented both private and public educational institutions across a broad spectrum of legal matters, earning recognition as a trusted advisor in the complex field of education law. His extensive experience encompasses everything from school formation, contract negotiations, regulatory compliance, policy development, and high-stakes litigation.
