Keelan Schule
Education Solutions Engineer @ OpenAI

Keelan Schule is a Solutions Engineer at OpenAI, where he works with universities and public institutions to apply AI in practical, human-centered ways across teaching, student services, and campus operations. He holds a degree in Bioinformatics from the University of Saskatchewan and originally set out to build a career in scientific research, drawn to the idea of working in labs and contributing to discovery.

Raised in rural Alberta, Keelan’s path into technology was shaped by problem-solving out of necessity rather than tradition. That perspective carried him from research environments into enterprise systems, security, and large-scale technology adoption across highly regulated organizations.

Today, his work focuses on helping educators and institutions move from curiosity to confidence with emerging technologies, bridging research thinking with real-world constraints and opportunities.

This session introduces Codex through practical examples, with a focus on how it can help users move faster, streamline routine tasks, and support more effective workflows across academic and administrative settings. While Codex is especially useful for technical work, this replay is designed for a broader campus audience and shows how different roles can begin exploring its value.

In this replay, you’ll learn what Codex is, how it can support everyday productivity and problem-solving, and how teams across an institution can start thinking about where Codex fits into their day-to-day work.
