News Organizations

Day 1

With the midterms approaching, OpenAI Academy is hosting ChatGPT 201 for Midterms, a virtual session designed for journalists covering the 2026 elections.

The goal is simple: leave with practical ways to use ChatGPT in the reporting and research you already do. We’ll cover source-first workflows, political reporting use cases, stronger prompting, and techniques for turning dense material into clear, structured briefs.

You’ll also see how ChatGPT Work, agents, skills, and custom apps can turn a useful workflow into a repeatable newsroom tool. You’ll leave with examples you can adapt and build yourself—no technical background required.
